There is a new florist shop in Port Hawkesbury. It's called Glorious Floral Designs. You will find it just inside the entrance to the mall across from Hart. It's owned by Gloria Hendsbee and you can reach her at 625-5934.

The shop has quite a few potted plants, a few floral arrangements and some individual stems of flowers for purchase. Yesterday I bought a rose-color flowering kalanchoe and two African violets, white and pink. Go on in and take a look for yourself. They are pleasant people and I think you will enjoy meeting them.

Please go in there and support her, help her to be successful so she will continue to serve our community. We dearly missed having a local flower shop, let's make sure she succeeds.

It looks like I'll be at this event tomorrow evening. Cape Breton-Canso Realty has a table of eight and I expect it will be full. These events are usually dry and boring and too loud to understand any conversations, we'll see if this is another one of them. The upside is I get to see people I don't see frequently and chitchat with them. I'll have to remember to bring a small stack of business cards to hand out. Maybe I'll see you there.
